Five courses, four sittings nightly

The square gets dinner theatre. Quietly.

Sixteen tables, a listed cellar and a kitchen that changes one course weekly. Meat, vegetarian and dessert arrive as numbered plates; wine pairing costs extra but gets argued for once.

The tasting turns

Rs. 5,800

II

Nepal Modern

Sekuwa cuts, Gundruk consommé and a dahi dessert that has ended debates.

Rs. 6,400

III

Garden III

Three courses for lighter evenings; the wine list leans out and whites pour.

How the evening runs

Seated at six, lasted till ten

  1. A

    Table & cellar page

You're seated with the cellar page — a paperback list, not a codex.

  2. B

    Chef's hello

One weekly course explained in ninety seconds, allergy questions settled there.

  3. C

    Numbered courses

Plates arrive with numerals; if you ask about the recipe, the chef leans out of the pass.

  4. D

    Pours & parting

Dessert wine option, then the till receipt sealed with the table's number stamp.
